Spring is in the air people and it’s time to show up and out regardless of if it’s still 30 degrees out, lol. I’m honestly so ready for warm weather that it’s all I can think about so I figured why not put that energy out into the air?
I purchased a vintage tee from work a few weeks ago that read “Black Majority Rule Now- No U.S. Support to Apartheid.”
You can imagine my excitement when I picked up the shirt and my manager continues to tell me that the shirt came from a protest in the late ’70s, early ’80s.
…Yeah, I’ll let that sink in.
It’s for sure a one of a kind find but then; I watched the Black Panther documentary that aired on PBS Tuesday. So I took it upon myself to write a poem about how I felt to be black.
